Executive Vice President, Worldwide Human Resources
As Executive Vice President of Worldwide Human Resources, Catherine Houser is responsible for leading Paramount’s global human resources division, including talent acquisition, training, internal communications, operations and benefits.
A trusted leader in the Viacom family for over 17 years with deep HR experience in film and television, Houser has managed Human Resources teams in the entertainment industry for 30 years. She recently served as Executive Vice President of Human Resources for Nickelodeon and Viacom Media Networks, based in their Santa Monica offices.
Prior to that role, Houser was Executive Vice President of Human Resources for MTV Networks, where she led the company's HR strategies and practices. In that role, she was responsible for all of MTV Networks' HR initiatives globally, including organization and leadership development, employee relations, staffing, compensation and benefits, and training programs.
Prior to that, Houser served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources for MTV Networks, overseeing New York and West Coast/Regional Human Resources for the Entertainment Group, the Music & Logo Group, Nickelodeon West Coast, Ad Sales, Strategic Services groups, and the West Coast/Regional Operations.
Before joining MTV Networks, Houser was Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Operations for Orion Pictures Corporation. Prior to Orion, she oversaw Human Resources and Operations for Merv Griffin Enterprises.
Houser has a degree in Communications and Media Management. She attended USC, UCLA, and CSUN.
Houser is actively involved in her community. She has worked closely with the Human Rights Campaign, Michael J. Fox’s Parkinson’s Foundation and Project Angel Food. She also provides advice on human resources issues to several not-for-profit organizations.
